Back in the blogosphere // Horizons

Decided to come back and blog again. I’ve been a little busy with moving to Vancouver and all that stuff so I was off from the grid of blogging, again. I hope to start again though. I am taking a Communications for New Media course and I thought that my blog would be the right place to actually practice what I am learning in that course. Of course with just this paragraph, I am not practicing it at all. Haha!

I am not one for make-ups or anything girly from the moment I was born until 2 and a half years ago. Tell you the truth, I don’t even know why I suddenly became interested in make-ups and skirts and all that girly stuff. After graduating from college, I started buying skirts, more girly clothes and started became interested in make-up. A late bloomer, maybe? Haha! Even a friend told me that our way of dressing up suddenly switched. She was the one wearing simple t-shirts and jeans/shorts and I was the one with the girly outfit.

We crossed the border to the US during Veteran’s day and look what I got my hands into.

ELF Eyeshadow Palette

Got this for $5 at Target I think in Bella’s Fair? Sorry, I can’t remember. They also had another set which contained a more colorful set. My cousin got that one and I got this. They also had a couple of other stuff for $5 and some for $10.

I haven’t tried it as of date cause I don’t have any eyeshadow brushes. I don’t like the one it comes with so I am still looking for a set of brushes from Sephora. Was about to buy one a while ago but they didn’t ship to Canada for free. They only ship if I get something that’s worth $120 or more.. I’m not that into make-up to spend $120 or more so, no thanks. I’ll probably look at the store instead.

I’ve been here for 2 months ad 2 days, exactly and all that I can say is I love Vancouver. I know you’ll say, “but it’s always raining and gloomy there”. I know and I like it. I’m not much for the sun. Sorry to say, but I hate the sun. At least I did when I was in the Philippines. I hated walking when the sun is out. Now, I love walking.

I have 10 more months of Canada before my school ends. I’m making the best out of it.

Hoorah! You’re back. I didn’t like make-up or being girly… that was when I got myself a boyfriend. Well wearing make-up is still a bitch, so I always go out looking natural. I always panic whenever there are special occasions like parties, etc. because I clearly have no idea how to put make-up on. I want to practice but I’m always scared of being teased by my mom. LOL. Binubuhos ko na lang sa girly clothes. Hihi.

I hate the sun as well. Gah! I wish I was somewhere cold.

  Yeah, I usually go out without anything on my face (except for moisturizer cause my face is breaking since I got here due to the cold). There’s just those days when I think my eyebags are just a little too noticeable than usual so I put a little make-up to cover them up. Haha!
  
  My cousins can’t believe that I am tired of the sun. They are actually looking for the sun cause it’s a little gloomy here in Vancouver. Haha.

I wanna go to Vancouver someday :< I thought they always have a nice weather there? lol. I didn't know its always gloomy and sunny. Well, we're the same. When I got back from Philippines, I didn't like the sun. Like I just got done taking a shower then when I get out of the shower I already look gross again because of Its so hot and I keep sweating =___=; plus I didn't want to get dark haha! xD

  Yeah, I saw those too at Target.. But I already have two brushes (one for foundation and another for blush on) so I don’t really need the other stuff.. I just wanted to get probably brushes for the eyes now.
  
  True, I always preferred natural look.. But my eye bags are starting to get bigger and bigger each day so I tend to put foundation on once in a while. Haha! But yeah, knowing how to put makeup will probably help one day. I got my lessons from my sister when I was in college when I was preparing for our thesis presentation and I borrowed her expensive make-up that time probably the reason why I was able to do things a little too good for me. Lol.
  
  Hahahaha! Yeah, that is so true.. As of now, the only thing that I miss in the Philippines are my family, my friends, my boyfriend, and the long holidays we usually get. Haha!
