The Girl in Me

The girl in me went shopping, again, even though I told myself that I am done shopping for the year. Well, technically, I didn’t spend that much. I finally got the brush that I needed for my eye shadows.

Initially, I wanted a brush set from Sephora. I went to the store and suddenly found the brush set that I wanted a little too expensive. Haha! That’s me. When it’s online, I don’t find it that expensive. But when I’m actually in the store and getting it, I suddenly find it expensive.

So, I was holding a traveler brush set – which was the cheapest I could find at $42 I think – and I was already in line, when I saw this. It’s a stick, basically. A stick of brushes for the eyes.

At first I thought it looked weird and might ruin the brushes in time cause it’s magnet (they magnet together to look like a pen or something). But then again, I thought, I’m a beginner in putting make up in my eyes, why buy something expensive now? Got these for $12. :)

In addition to that, I got myself a mascara a while ago. Superstore was in their “No Tax Event” when we went there so I decided to get these. Loreal Double Extend Mascara. I always wanted to got one of these and try them on since I lost the double mascara that my sister gave me a while back (I think I left it in her place and she just decided to take them back? I don’t know. Haha!)

I tried them out as soon as I got back home. Then I realized, I needed the eyelash curlers. That’s the next and definitely the last thing that I will be getting for myself this year. I’ve had enough buying. Haha!

But, needless to say, I am happy with all my purchases. Even though they may cost a little more than I expected to be spending, I am happy. :)

I’m actually scared to put make-up on… your posts are making me want to try being “girly” myself. Yeah, I think it’s about time to evolve. But meh, make-up is really expensive. Especially the really good ones. Ugh. I’ve better things to buy, LOL! Have fun with your new stuff~

You can try with the cheap ones first if you’re not that into make-up yet. Then when you get used to it or decided to put make-up on regularly, that’s when you get the expensive ones. Haha. You can try the ones from In2It. Their stuff are pretty cheap, at least the time my mom and I bought them. I think we were able to get a good deal cause it was on sale too. :)

Ooh! Ooh! I bought something from Sephora today too! Teehee~ .__. Dang that brush is small but so expensive. Make up IS expensive but if you really want the good quality ones, you’ll really have to prepare yourself to spend lots of money haha. Even my giftcard from Sephora didn’t really do anything. I still paid almost 50 dollars. I’ll blog about what I bought tomorrow hehe! I love Sephora @__@~♥
I might buy another Mascara, the Lancome Doll Lash Mascara that I bought from Sephora was hard to use. It worked on my cousin but whenever I use it, it doesn’t work on me lol! and it was a fail too cause I didn’t have a eyelash curler when I bought the mascara =,= lol. I really need the one that you bought, that makes my eyelash thicker and more volume so it looks like I’m wearing fake lashes xD

Hey! Its Christmas is almost there, might as well treat yourself something good ;)
That way you won’t feel bad even if you spent a lot. like what happened to me.. lol! .__.

Hi! I’m visiting from Hiyono’s plugs! I’m a beginner with makeup too but I bought a cheapo brush set from Amazon. The more I use it, the more I realize that it’s not that good at applying makeup but I guess it’s something I needed to learn in order to pick out good quality brushes. Through the photo, i think your brush set looks good cause it looks dense and looks like it can pick up a lot of shadow ^^ Keep practicing :D

Hi! Thanks for dropping by. :) Yeah, I guess that is part of the process, learning which store or brand has the best set of brushes. To tell you the truth, even though I wasn’t into make-up before, I was already picky with the type of make-up I would buy and the brushes that I would use. Haha! Don’t know why though. Maybe for the make-up, it’s because my skin is sensitive that I get a lot of pimple by using the wrong set.. So, yeah. I better be careful with that. Haha. I’m not sure about the brushes that I have though. I mean, I still haven’t used them yet. I might use them soon, so I’ll try to make a review from it if I can. :)

I like make-up on special occasions like parties and attending cosplay conventions, however, my only problem is the prices. Sometimes, the good make-up cost so much, it just makes me want to cry. But what can we do? Good quality comes with good price.

Yeah, most things I look at online don’t seem too expensive, but when it’s already in front of me, I ALWAYS have second doubts to buy it or not. Once purchased, I feel a pinch in my chest. HAHAHA. I’m so cheap. :P
