Spending Spree

This coming Friday will be our Final Defense presentation for our Thesis. I’m not that nervous about it, yet I’m not as calm as well. I’m suddenly in between, at least right now. Just this morning when I woke up, I asked myself, “what day is it? Thursday?” and then I suddenly realized that no, it wasn’t thursday. It was only Tuesday. I’ve been sleeping VERY late the past weeks, may be the reason why I thought of that. Surprisingly, I slept at around 3 in the morning (compared to 5 or 6 in the morning, that’s already early for me at this point) and my sister woke me up at around 7:30 for her to drop me at my college place. When I got there, about an hour later, I slept, again.
So, despite everything that happened here in the city and college, my life in the province is, well, dragging as usual. Hehe. I’ve had my room re-painted cause my mom had the ENTIRE house re-painted. I kept the same color of my room cause I was thinking about the bed covers that my mom bought just for my room and thought that everything will go to waste if I changed my room color. So, I kept it.
Here’s a picture of my room just after we changed the arrangement of the furniture (my room was MUCH more a mess before we cleared the bed and the other furniture out of the room. I wasn’t able to take a picture of that)

And then, I also took a picture of it after I had fixed all the other stuff…. Like putting my bed sheets back and fixing a few other things.

Maybe I’ll take another picture after all the other stuff had been cleared out of my room by next next week..
Actually, the only changes there are the arrangement of my computer table and my desk. It used to be the other way around…
I was planning on not putting the bed at the middle again like it always had been since we moved in last 2001, but when my dad measured the wall by the door to the bathroom, it was just the right size. I thought it was the right size for the bed, with no night table (which I can’t live without in that room). Then I found out around a week or two after that the measurement he got was with a night table…. So I am planning on rearranging the room, again, when I move back home after college…
Right now, the room is still a mess cause the re-painting of the house is not yet done. We had been looking for places to sleep when we go home every weekend. There was a time when both my older sisters slept at our guest room, with my niece in between them. Then me and my younger sister slept at the attic.
Anyways, on when other stuff….
Since this Friday is the Defense, I had picked out a few clothes for it with the help of my sister since everything was hers… I just borrowed cause I am still lacking in the business suits stuff..
I don’t have a picture of the attire now though. I will try to get a picture and post it here. On the other hand, I shopped a while ago for cosmetics stuff cause she’s using hers and I can’t borrow them. Yes, cosmetics stuff. For those who know me personally and are reading this, this is totally not me I know. For those who don’t know me personally, I don’t usually buy these kinds of stuff cause I love to keep everything simple, like no make-up at all. But, I am in NEED of it for the Defense to be able to look more presentable! So I bought a few stuff… I already had a few other stuff from last Christmas so I didn’t have to buy everything. I didn’t know how to put the eye thing so I didn’t bother buying one. Here’s a picture of all the make-up stuff that I have.

Ok, so I have a concealer from The Body Shop which I bought last year, supposedly for Christmas. I bought that for around 700pesos I think (around $14 assuming the conversion rate is $1 = 50 pesos) I have three lip gloss - one cherry, one strawberry, and one melon (the melon is with my sister) which I also bought for Christmas from Seventeen for 50pesos ($1) for all three lip gloss. Then I have a L’oreal lip stick from my mom which she gave to me about a month before Christmas cause I was thinking of buying one. I also have two chapsticks from, well, ChapStick (that’s the brand, right? I’m not sure
). The mint flavored I got from my mom. The Strawberry flavored I bought for about 80 pesos (about $2 from Watsons) All of these are my old stuff which can be found at the right side of the container that I have. Oh yeah.. I still have an Eye Stress Gel from St. Ives (forgot to add it to the picture) which I bought earlier this year for 166pesos (about $4). My sister said it works and it removes or lessens your eye bags.
I hope it does.. She said it worked on her. I haven’t really been applying it every night so I can’t see the difference… I’ll tell you if it worked on me or not once I start applying it every night..
I bought a foundation from Elianto for 699 pesos (around $14) a while ago. I tried it a while ago at the store with the tested and it seemed fine to me… I also bought the brush from the same store for about 250 pesos (around $5). Then I bought the blush-on (the one with the rose) and the illuminator thing from The Body Shop for a total of 1045pesos (about $20). The other two, one is a night cream and the other a day cream (that’s what I heard from the sales lady. but the label said it’s a moisturizer) are free because I joined the “Love Your Body” membership thing for 300pesos ($6) since I almost always buy my stuff there.
This month had been a spending spree for me and it is not at all helping me with my money since I will not be having any more weekly allowance the moment I leave this condominium for good. So, I planned on keeping my spends low. But, as it turns out, I’ve lost a few pants from my laundry so I had to replace them, with my money since the laundry didn’t want to admit that they lost a few of my pants. Then since this month is thesis month for everyone, I had to contribute to the ink and ring binding of our documents (3 documents all in all. About 200 pages each document I think). Then my sister kept on dragging me to shopping where eventually I find something nice and ends up buying it.
My wallet now has a VERY big hole where all my money were flushed away. I still have a debt to my other sister for my PSP since I borrowed money from her last October to buy the said device. *sigh* If only I knew, how I wish I didn’t buy that yet since I don’t use it much anymore because of thesis….
(money) now gone.

Woot! Shopping! It’s so much fun and so hard to stop. lol I’m about to drop about 500 bucks once I get off of work. xD
Wow, your room looks nice and spacious. I do like the colors you chose, it probably helps it look more spacious and bright. <3
