Nearly the End

It’s May 28th here and it is nearing the end of summer… For most people anyways. Our school had started it’s first term last Monday (May 25). It usual starts early because we are under the Trimester system, so yeah. Hehe.
So, what had I been up to the past how many weeks that I haven’t been blogging… Well for one thing, I have achieved another wish that I wanted..
I finished driving school I think about 2 to 3 weeks ago and just last week, I got my driving license!
But, the problem there is, I have no car to use.
My parents won’t have me drive an automatic car just yet. They want me to start off with a manual car. The problem there is, all our manual cars are with my two sisters who are both working in the city… So no manual car for me.
My mom did say that I would borrow my grandfather’s old car, the Volkswagen Beetle (they had it fixed a few years ago so yes, it is still functional). But, HELLO. The car is YEARS older than me, probably older than my oldest sister. I MIGHT have a hard time driving that thing compared to having a hard time driving our Kia Pride CD-5
Last week, when our Kia Pride was still here (my sister switched cars with my dad cause she had to go somewhere far and she can’t just bring the Kia because I think she was going up a mountain or something.. I don’t know…) I had a few times to drive it… Like when we went to SM and my parents let me drive. My mom was telling me all the time what to do. In the end she got scolded by my dad telling her to let me do the driving.
But in the end, my dad did the driving when I ALMOST crashed to a vehicle that was at the back (the road was ascending and I was trying to get up) I know now what the problem was. The gear was not placed in properly. My sister did say that it was a bit hard to put the gear to the 2nd cause you might think you are already in the 2nd gear where in fact you are in neutral..
Silly old car. Hahaha
Hmm… So, what else have I accomplished… Ah, I’ve been working on my uncle’s website and CD app. I’m going to meet him tomorrow to get his approval on the design so that I can use it for his CD which he will be needing this coming July 3 for the Bridal Fair where he will participate. And as for the website, he’s been asking us about how to make one since, I don’t know, last year? Last last year? I can’t remember.
The thing is, none of us had the time to do it then. And since I am bored the entire summer and he is just across our house, might as well do it.
I just came back from the city yesterday afternoon… I was there because I ordered a transcript last week and got it last Tuesday. Then I submitted my application form to the Japanese Embassy just yesterday before I went home…
I also learned that it now costs cheap to get a RAM upgrade for my laptop!
I remember when I was asking the people at the PowerMac Center before how much the upgrade was, they were telling it it was like 6,000php (about $125 if my conversion rate is correct) for an upgrade from 1GB RAM to 2GB. Right now, it only costs 1,900php (about $40)!!!
That’s the first thing I will do when I get my hands on some money… :3
Next week we will be leaving out of town…! Finally a place to go.. Even though it is the end of summer… But ANYWAY. My parents have been wanting to go here since summer of 2007 (I remember being sick at that summer the reason that we weren’t able to go). And this summer, they had been asking us if we wanted to go (the entire summer). And since it had been raining (rainy season came early this year) they had decided not to go until the time that it had stopped raining for like 5 days (and it had been SO hot) they decided to go. And we are to leave next week (June 5 to be exact) for Palawan! We are going to El Nido, Palawan for 3 days with the entire family (excluding Kuya Eman – my brother-in-law because I think he has something to do in the hospital or something). So, yeah. Alex will be with us, building sand castles with her mom…
I can’t wait!
Another thing… Onee-chan was asking me what I wanted for my graduation gift. She was asking me if I wanted a new celphone or a new iPod (my iPod is having problems and they said in the AppleCare that that generation of the iPod Nano was not fixable.
;) I searched the internet a few days ago and found a VERY cute Sony Ericsson phone that I want!!

Above is the mentioned phone..
I like the white one… It’s so PREEEETTYYYYY :3
What exactly are the featured specs? (for people who care about the specs – no offense to anyone.. I know a few people who only care about what the phone looks like and doesn’t care about the specs…)
- one thing, it is a Walkman phone.
- the covers can be changed into different designs (not much for those who love the phone as is..)
- shake control (for changing the tune currently playing)
- it creates a playlist of the songs based on the tempo and the mood – fast and slow, happy and sad
- 3.2 MP camera
- video call
- music recognition – the site said that it returns the song name, artist and album just by recording a few seconds of tne music
- gesture control (similar to W380) – mute an incoming call or snooze the alarm by sweeping your hand over the phone
- FM radio
- HSDPA – the site said “serious download speed” I wonder… What if the internet connection is slow?
- “Count Your Steps” – keeps track of all the steps you took the entire day just as long as you have the phone with you (COMMENT: I do wonder how many steps I take the entire day.. But I never bothered counting them… Who would, actually?
That would be cool though.
) - Auto-Rotate feature – somewhat like the ones in iTouchs and iPhones I guess… hehe
- MegaBass – enchances the phone’s bass frequencies
- Geo-Tagging – photo tagged on information where it was taken
View the website for more information (it is set on the Philippines. Just change the location
)
I read (while I was searching for the picture) that it is to come out on the 2nd quarter of this year… And who knows where that is… It might come out later here…
I want it now!
I continued to search the Sony Ericsson site (different locations) for more information about Brittany (I read that they named the phone as such) and the page for Singapore had the “How to buy the phone” link which the Philippines page didn’t. And since onee-chan is going to buy it when she goes to Singapore next next week (the weekend after our El Nido trip) I’m hoping she can find it there!!
I’ll stop here for now..
I’ll try to blog before we leave next week

Yay for a drivers license! Don’t kill anyone! LOL
Trips! Yay! I can’t wait for mine too.
Ah, cellphones… I still have a cheapo razor. xD I don’t know if I will ever invest in anything better.

June 1st, 2009 at 12:21 amLOL. Hopefully I don’t kill anyone during my driving.
It is a bit late for our trip though.. My sister is starting her school year the day after we arrive from Palawan… In fact, she is a bit pissed about the scheduling of the trip.
But anyways. As long as we get a vacation before summer ends. ahehe..
Haha. Razor looks good actually..
I just don’t know if I can switch that easily to Motorola… My sister had a motorola before and I kind of found it hard to use..
But yeah… I think I need a new phone because my phone right now is a hand me down from my mom when she changed phones – my old phone is somewhat broken already (the keypads are SO hard to press)..
