Mode of Transportation

Edit: I was typing this as I was in the bus on the way to a friend's house. Forgive the lack of animation as I do not have time to add some stuff in right now. Ahaha. ]

Just a thought.. Being here in Vancouver for 5 months, going 6, and seeing as my way of transportation here are buses and skytrains.. I have a feeling that the moment I go back home, I can’t help but feel terrified.

Transportation back home is the worse kind of experience a person would want to have. Buses pulling off the the middle of a vast street and dropping people off is one of them. No bus stops there.. Well, there are but no one uses them.. They just use them to stay there for minutes to get passengers but they stop anywhere they want to.

Taxi’s don’t just bring you where ever you want to go unless you give them more money, jeepneys and buses running people over if you’re not looking.

Now that I’ms used to bus stops and people stopping when there are people crossing, I’m afraid I’m going to re-adjust myself wen I get home.

Even their driving rules are different here.. People are very giving. Back home, they’d just go in and not give way.

Sigh.

Blackberry Torch – White

March 22, 2011 No comments

When I first started this blog, I had an entry — Blackberry Torch 9800, and a few weeks later the Globe Telecoms offers Blackberry Torch. It’s price started at a whopping Php 35,000 from Avant at Greenbelt. From Greenhills, my sister found one that was priced a little lower at Php 28,500.

This was last January.

It is the middle of March and even though my oldest sister went off and bragged her own Blackberry Torch unit to me a couple of weeks ago which she got at 27,000, this did not make me rethink about the Torch.

Ok, not really.

Just a few days ago, I was looking for a cheaper Blackberry unit which still had almost the same features as the Torch. The Blackberry Bold 9780.

My younger sister bought her Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 just this weekend and it made me look at their Blackberry units as well. They had theirs priced nearing Php 25,000 for the Torch and nearing Php 21,000 for the Bold.

I always wanted a white celphone and it was my chance to actually pay for my own phone and get the color that I wanted. Just so happens that at that time, they had a white Bold. I tested it and I found hard to use as it looks like Blackberry’s new OS is designed for touchscreen phones. So I tried the Torch once again.

I. Was. Satisfied.

I ordered my first self-paid phone. A white one — they didn’t have one on stock then so I ordered.

For those wondering about the features of the Blackberry Torch, you can visit Blackberry’s official website or my Blackberry Torch 9800 post for a list of its specifications.

I will also post a picture of my new phone once it arrives this weekend.

For those wondering where I bought my phone at this price, visit Marquee Mall at Angeles City. That’s where we bought our phone. :)
