Hi guys! Christmas is in 3 days! And New Year is coming fast as well! The year is going to end and it’s ending WAY too fast for me to even cope up with all the stuff that I have to do for this vacation! T_T

So anyway, how was your year? My year, if you ask me, is full of disasters and blisters and wounds. LOL. I’ll list them all down….. (I’ll TRY to list them down accordingly but I can’t promise)

1. I found out that I had gastritis just last January 16 (my birthday )

2. I almost failed yet ANOTHER Math subject last third term (January - April term of school year 2007-2008)

3. I was late for AN HOUR at my office last summer

4. I tripped while on the way to the office therefore having a wound on my right knee (summer)

5. I wore the wrong pair of shoes during a site visit at the office therefore earning a wound

6. My laptop is running SO slow.. T_T I have to have Suppy reformatted….

7. My sister, Vinno and I went ice skating and I forgot to remove my anklet so the lock on the anklet went inside my skin earning another wound

8. Me and my mom got into an accident with a L300 van because the stupid driver did not put on the hand breaks when he parked and left the van so it reversed on us (a BMW car)

9. We went to a theme park once (my sister, Vinno and I) and went to this Snow World (but it was only the coldness we saw or felt. No snow. Just ice.) and when we got out, I found my hair VERY oily. So I had to buy Johnson’s Baby Shampoo just to get it off

10. I ALMOST failed my calculus (yes, again) last term if my professor wasn’t too considerate. I am VERY VERY thankful to him (though I wasn’t able to tell it to him personally cause I wasn’t the one who got my card)

11. If it wasn’t for my final exam grade and last departamental exam grade (which were both above perfect - hey, both first and second departamental exam were failures! Please leave me be by being a bit proud about it) I think I would fail my NETWORK course

12. My sister and I almost left our video camera on the bus when we were on our way home last week

13. I was playing with my niece’s jumprope the other night and I think I landed on the wrong foot so I sprained my right foot (but I’m still able to walk. It went away instantly) then after a few minutes, my left knee started to ache. Don’t know why

<EDIT> 14. Just after lunch, my sister asked me and my mom to accompany her to our little garden for her to use the Time Works Exercise machine that my dad gave my mom last year for Christmas. My niece suddenly saw her and asked me to carry her so that she can use it as well. Just when I crouched down and stood up with her in my arms, my sister twisted the machine just above my head earning myself a lump on the head, on the 24th. I even cursed (with my niece’s ear just beside my mouth). Luckily she didn’t quite hear it cause I just said it in a whisper. In case she heard the word F**K, I would have been VERY much dead by now. LOL

15. While my sister was curling my hair, she accidentally had the curler touch my skin, which is, mind you, VERY hot

16. My niece stepped on me with her boots while we were on our way home from mass before celebrating Christmas Eve….

17. Remember the sprain I got from the jump rope? Well, I landed on the wrong foot when I was on my way to Starbucks with my sisters and brother-in-law so, I sprained it, AGAIN

Hmmm… I think that’s about it….  I remember counting them down just after I got that lump on my head… But right now, I can’t remember them anymore. LOL </EDIT>

Anyways… Here’s a break down of my grades last term:

- CCSCAL2: College of Computer Studies Calculus (1.0)
- KASPIL2: Philippine History (2.5)
- LASARET: Lasallian Retreat (Passed)
- MOBLERN: Mobile Learning (4.0)
- NETWORK: Computer Networking (2.0)
- RELSFOR: Christian Social Teaching (3.0)
-  THESIS: (4.0)

In our school, if ever you haven’t noticed from the past grades I had been posting here, our highest grade is 4.0 and the lowest is 1.0, failure is 0.0 (yeah, looks like a shocked emoticon). For thesis, its just a 4.0 or 0.0 grade. So yeah… For MOBLERN, well, just as you do what the prof tells you to do, its easy to get a 4.0. The rest I earned through studying (except RELSFOR cause I barely studied there cause ALL exams were open notes)

I guess everyone was considerate of giving Christmas bonuses even to students.. So I am very grateful for my CCSCAL2 prof and for the professors of NETWORK for giving a VERY easy exam (all questions were taken from the previous exams)

Anyways, I have to run.. I still have to finish our thesis. Promise, once I finish everything for thesis, I will do my layout for the blog.. The layout is done.. Just the coding that needs to be fixed..

<EDIT> For those who would be interested to know (like Ahiru ), I study in the Philippines, at De La Salle University - Manila… The grades given for colleges in Manila are usually from 1.0 to 5.0, 1.0 being the highest.. But for our school, it’s the other way around… It goes from 1.0 to 4.0..

I’m off tomorrow.. We are going out of town so expect nothing from me for the next 4 - 5 days maybe… Hopefully my list of disasters won’t grow while I’m out.. It already grew while I’m at home, I don’t want it to grow anymore.. LOL

Hey guys! Long time no… Blog? Hahaha. Anyways, what exactly had I been up to since the last time I blogged… Well, A LOT of school stuff. Been really busy with Thesis and projects and all that crap. *sigh* But the good news is, I am on my last term! I can finally end college and move on! Hahaha.

I hope that you guys had been doing good. I have a new blog buddy! Please welcome Ahiru!

Lately, to be frank, I had been addicted to GOSSIP GIRL like any other girl. Hahaha. I got curious with it and started watching it and got hooked to it! I LOVE the Chuck x Blair and Dan x Serena and Nate x Jenny couples.. :heart: They are the reasons why I actually watch it, to see what really happens to them. Well, if you DO look at it, they are the main characters, aren’t they…? But ANYWAYS… I just really hope that everything goes well with those three couples..

So right now, I am on my X-mas break and all I am waiting for are my grades then I can go home for the season. Problem is, I am VERY nervous about my grades cause of my calculus… -.-; Yeah, that again, I know… Well, please pray for me to be able to pass it this time. All I want is a passing grade of 60% and I am not aiming for it to go higher. That is all I want, at least with the grades that I have with the quizzes.. *sigh*

Right now, I am using my dad’s laptop cause I can’t do any decent 3d animation with mine so my older sister borrowed it… Our laptops had been moving from one person to another in the family so, yeah… I am actually planning on reformatting mine cause it is already SOOOO slow… But that’ll happen maybe early January since I won’t be around starting 26 till the 31st cause I will be going to a place where I cannot have any internet connection unless we visit Starbucks and I get WiFi.

The layout will be changed once I arrive home? Or maybe after my laptop had been reformatted…? I can’t install anything that isn’t school related to this laptop so I can’t actually do much without Dreamweaver… I can only do a little of coding, so yeah…

Anyways, I gotta go to sleep. It’s 10 minutes before 4 in the morning here so I better retire. Come to think of it, I had been walking the entire day so, I guess I’ll be up REALLY late.. *laugh*

Just a simple meme that I got from a friend. I’m bored right now and I am still a bit too lazy to study (I’ll start tomorrow, I promise! )

• Maria Carolina Lou Pantig - this is my real name, the name my parents gave me. I don’t know where they got Maria. But Carolina came from my deceased aunt, who was named Catalina, who died a few months or a year (I think) before I was born. The same thing goes for Lou, from my deceased grandfather who was named Luis, who died I think of cancer before I was born as well.
• Carolina - the name that my classmates and teachers from Kindergarten to Grade 1, and from 1st year high school to around 3rd year, but it had started to lessen that year…
• Carol - one particular teacher called me this, she was my science teacher when I was in my 1st year high school. I don’t know, maybe she didn’t feel like calling me by Carolina…
• Maria - again, only one teacher called me this, and this time, this teacher was my professor for my speech class when I was in my 3rd year college.
• Ynah - this is my real nickname thanks to my sisters. So, this is what mostly everyone calls me… It is pronounced as Aina.
• Ayns - this is what some other people call me, like one of my aunts, my deceased best friend ( :( ), and two high school friends. This is also where I got my online name… Instead of using “S”, I used the letter “E” to give it a bit of uniqueness.. Then again, the letter “E” is silent “E” so its just there for design..
• Ate / Te / Ate Ynah / Ate Ayns - people who are usually younger than me call me this. Ate is a word used to acknowledge an older sister, cousin, or just an older girl person.
• Pantig - only a group of people called me this, when I was undergoing my ROTC during my 1st year of college.
• Macalou - this was supposed to be my nickname. Thanks to my older sisters, they changed it.. Why am I so happy that they decided to change it? The word Macalou (or at least spelled macalu in the language) means nakakaawa or pity in english.
• Tita Ynah - my niece calls me this.. Tita, similar to the word Ate. It is used to address people who are you mother and/or father’s friends who are girls or your mother and/or father’s sisters, and girl cousins.

I’m a senior in college, and on my second to the last trimester in the university. I used to enjoy it… I used to enjoy the thrill of challenges that came my way from my first year to my third (or at least I think half of my third year…) Sadly, I can’t say the same right now. I think I’ve had enough thrills in my life, and now, I just want to give up. The thrills I receive now does not include stuff in school anymore… No failing of courses (as of now) problems, no sched problems cause as of now I think I’m managing it a bit so far… Those types of challenges used to make me not sleep the entire night just to finish a project… It ain”t my problem no more. What’s worst, I came upon the worst challenge I can ever have… People.. I don’t know…

As I type this entry, it is around 7:15 in the morning, Philippine time. It had been a hectic week for me. I can’t find a day wherein I had the time for myself to do anything I want, and to sleep anytime I wanted. I rest, sure, but not time to do anything I really want, like play a game or something of the sort.

Ever since Saturday (August 23, 2008) until today, here was my to do list:

• 3DGRAFX Final Project
• A mini-project requested by the office
• Thesis Final documentation
• MEASDEV (Measurement in Development) Final Paper and Exam [yes, we create exams for this course. VERY VERY hassle]

As far as I can remember and as far as my calendar is concerned, those are the stuff I’ve been doing ever since Saturday and a few minutes ago. And let me tell you another thing, for the past how many days, I haven’t slept for more than 5 hours (except August 26th cause I couldn’t handle it anymore).

Yes, nearly a week of no sleep… Saturday I did the mini-project requested by the office because it was due Monday, and I finished my part in our exam and final paper for MEASDEV. Sunday, I fixed my character model for our 3DGRAFX course (the entire day). Monday, I went back to the city and we did our thesis together with an overnight (we slept a little past 2 AM and woke up around 8 I think). Tuesday, I went to the place where both my sisters are staying to do my 3DGRAFX project (both my laptop and desktop couldn’t handle the pressure). That’s when I slept for around 9 hours. Then the next day, I attempted to fix my model again cause I was having problems with its arms (I’ll upload my project at YouTube after I get enough sleep then I’ll give out the link). And until I think 7, I worked with the animation of about half of the project. Then I woke up 11 and continued to work with my niece bugging me after every 10 minutes or so until her mom came home.

And now, I just finished the entire project around 30 minutes ago. My stomach is empty, my heart is palpitating, and my eyes are heavy. I can’t sleep anymore. Deadline of the project is at 12PM and we still have a demo at 3:30…. So yeah… It is until I finish every to do for today is the time that I can finally sleep… Sigh.. College… 4th year college… What a hectic year… Sigh
