Under Boredom, Life

Currently, I am in the phone with Vinno and as usual, he is saying VERY corny stuff. And so with the blog title, Whatever

Anyways, I just learned from my mom yesterday that we will be going back to the US next year! WOHOOO!!! I SO can’t wait! We’ve been forcing them to return to the US for the past 7 years and then here comes my godmother telling her not to let our visa expire. And thus with the decision to renew our visa which would mean going back to the US. I am SO excited! I can’t WAIT for next year to come.

Yeah… Other than that, I have no more additional news.

I just finished watching Love or Bread out of boredom… I watched it the entire day skipping the movie Ice Age 3 with my parents and my niece… I’d rather stay home and watch the Taiwan Series…

A little review with the series, it’s a good series. Just don’t let the character of Joe Cheng get to you because he is TOTALLY annoying. But overall, I find the series good.

Under Boredom, Life, Typical Girl

This coming Friday will be our Final Defense presentation for our Thesis. I’m not that nervous about it, yet I’m not as calm as well. I’m suddenly in between, at least right now. Just this morning when I woke up, I asked myself, “what day is it? Thursday?” and then I suddenly realized that no, it wasn’t thursday. It was only Tuesday. I’ve been sleeping VERY late the past weeks, may be the reason why I thought of that. Surprisingly, I slept at around 3 in the morning (compared to 5 or 6 in the morning, that’s already early for me at this point) and my sister woke me up at around 7:30 for her to drop me at my college place. When I got there, about an hour later, I slept, again.

So, despite everything that happened here in the city and college, my life in the province is, well, dragging as usual. Hehe. I’ve had my room re-painted cause my mom had the ENTIRE house re-painted. I kept the same color of my room cause I was thinking about the bed covers that my mom bought just for my room and thought that everything will go to waste if I changed my room color. So, I kept it.

Just a simple meme that I got from a friend. I’m bored right now and I am still a bit too lazy to study (I’ll start tomorrow, I promise! )

• Maria Carolina Lou Pantig – this is my real name, the name my parents gave me. I don’t know where they got Maria. But Carolina came from my deceased aunt, who was named Catalina, who died a few months or a year (I think) before I was born. The same thing goes for Lou, from my deceased grandfather who was named Luis, who died I think of cancer before I was born as well.
• Carolina – the name that my classmates and teachers from Kindergarten to Grade 1, and from 1st year high school to around 3rd year, but it had started to lessen that year…
• Carol – one particular teacher called me this, she was my science teacher when I was in my 1st year high school. I don’t know, maybe she didn’t feel like calling me by Carolina…
• Maria – again, only one teacher called me this, and this time, this teacher was my professor for my speech class when I was in my 3rd year college.
• Ynah – this is my real nickname thanks to my sisters. So, this is what mostly everyone calls me… It is pronounced as Aina.
• Ayns – this is what some other people call me, like one of my aunts, my deceased best friend ( :( ), and two high school friends. This is also where I got my online name… Instead of using “S”, I used the letter “E” to give it a bit of uniqueness.. Then again, the letter “E” is silent “E” so its just there for design..
• Ate / Te / Ate Ynah / Ate Ayns – people who are usually younger than me call me this. Ate is a word used to acknowledge an older sister, cousin, or just an older girl person.
• Pantig – only a group of people called me this, when I was undergoing my ROTC during my 1st year of college.
• Macalou – this was supposed to be my nickname. Thanks to my older sisters, they changed it.. Why am I so happy that they decided to change it? The word Macalou (or at least spelled macalu in the language) means nakakaawa or pity in english.
• Tita Ynah – my niece calls me this.. Tita, similar to the word Ate. It is used to address people who are you mother and/or father’s friends who are girls or your mother and/or father’s sisters, and girl cousins.

Under Boredom, Work

It’s way past 6 in the evening and I’m still in the office. My phone is dead because a lot of people kept on sending text messages to me, and thus the dead battery. The department where I am right now is almost close to being empty. Only Ms. Nolee and Sir Raymond are the only ones left, along with Sir Dan’s stuff cause I think he left for a meeting a while ago…

I know I’m only up to 5:30, supposed to be… But I want to extend solely because I want to finish my internship, ASAP, and because I am too lazy to go home. I computed my hours… If I leave today at 7 in the evening, I only have 4 hours left of the service. If I leave 8, that gives me 3 hours. I had targeted that I leave at 8, depending on what time the laundry shop I’m supposed to catch closes.

Okay… I heard another logging off sound from Windows. Someone is on their way home again. Sigh…

I am still very, very bored…

Which reminds me, we have an assignment for INTPHIL for Monday… And guess what, I haven’t done it yet… Everything is so boring this term! The only thing that might seem exciting would the thesis, and probably 3DGRAFX… Other than that, everything seems boring…

It’s the first week of class… And it’s my last few days here in ASTI. I don’t know if I’m happy or not. I’m a bit happy inside considering that I won’t have to go back to the business district of the city every other day. I’m sad because I will miss the people here… Well for one thing, I am sad that school has already started… I didn’t even get the chance to enjoy my vacation! I demand for a vacation!

Under Boredom, Cute!, Life, Rants, School, Vacation

I went home to the province today because I miss the atmosphere here… The quiet and joyful atmosphere unlike what I experience in our condo in Manila. Also another reason for that is because my oldest sister was in a rage because she couldn’t access the router there – she is way too short tempered to even wait for anything.

So anyways, the moment I walked into the house, I was greeted by my niece who was carrying my dad’s shoes thinking it was his slippers. When she saw me, she let go of the shoe and went straight to me to have me carry her (she’s currently a year and 8 months, nearing nine this 27th)… I missed that.. The way that she’s too cute and adorable and is always there to greet you once you open the door…

It’s a Saturday night, nearing 12 midnight and tomorrow, I will be returning to the city. Why? Aside from the fact that I still have my internship, classes start this Monday… So, I go to school Monday and Wednesday. Then from 8AM till around 3:30PM during Tuesdays and Thursdays I will be at the office… Then whole day during Fridays… Such a tight schedule and it’s only the first week of classes…

Basically, I only have an overnight here at the province before I return back to reality… Can’t I stay here a little longer…? :(

Expect a little less blogging starting Monday… Since it will be my last week next week for work, I heard that they will be giving me boxes of documents to scan.. So I guess I have to go back to the office after my class on Tuesdays and Thursdays just to finish all that is needed to be done I don’t leave anything unfinished… Unless it is a self-proclaimed project… I might even extend the 200-hour max if I do that.. Not that it would increase my grade…
