I finally have internet at my place..! Whoho!!

Anyways, it’s been a hectic first few weeks of school for me… A lot of stuff going on with the org, with thesis, with my family… Sigh…

First thing’s first, onee-chan is home! Finally! Actually, she got home I think last week Friday? And she’s brought a lot of CHOCOLATES!!! Sadly, I can’t eat as much chocolate as I want… Well, my gastritis hasn’t been back lately so I guess I can eat a few…

Next up, while onee-chan is back, my oldest sister left just last Friday and went to Hong Kong for their mid-year convention I think. She had to present some sort of poster there so she had to go along with some of the other residents taking up opthalmology…

With thesis, we have a submission this coming Tuesday and we had been sleeping over at Karla’s since Tuesday then Friday. Then I’m guessing we are going to have another one on Monday since the deadline is Tuesday, 4PM… We had been consulting with our thesis adviser, Doc Lloyd, and he had been guiding us about a lot of stuff (of course.. duh.. that’s what thesis advisers do.. ^^;;;;; )

So anyhow… My grandfather’s condition is unknown to me. I haven’t hear about anything recently… I don’t know if his series of tests are done and if he is in the right condition to undergo the surgery… Sigh…

Anywaayyyyyysssssssssss….

I am still very much obsessed about They Kissed Again (It Started with a Kiss 2), Taiwanese Drama!!! I just finished watching the entire drama around an hour ago and Xiang Chin and Xhi Shu totally make the perfect couple! I also think that Christine and Ah Jin will be very very VERY happy together now that they are married as well..

*sighs dreamingly* Joe Cheng is soooo kawaiii…

I haven’t been online for the couple of days and thus less blogging… I still don’t have internet connection at my place so I’m still trying to connect to our school whose internet keeps on disconnecting…

Anyways, last weekend, my dad (with my entire family actually) went to the city not only to help my little sister fix her stuff at her college dorm, but also to do a little shopping…

While my mom, my little sister, and I went to a mall in the business district of the country, my dad was left behind in a Mac store. Then, I learned that he went to another mall a bit far from the business district but near my sister and my college.

After the whole shopping spree with my mom and sister, well all retired to Starbucks and waited for my older sister with her husband and my dad. Then, when they came, guess what I found out… He bought a MacBook Pro (one that I wanted last year the time I got my own MacBook), AND an iMac. Boy does my dad have money…

I tried out the iMac today cause I was supposed to create a video for my grandfather for Father’s Day; hopefully it won’t be his last… It has a large screen and I am very happy with it… But, the large screen it’s that endearing anymore, especially when you sit in a low chair and it stands in a higher table… It feels like it’s gonna fall!!

The screen is big alright, but the wireless keyboard is SO small!! And, I like the mouse… I officially want to have a mighty mouse!! I thought before that it would be a waste of money since I already have a mouse.. But then again, I changed my mind when I found out what it could do…

While my dad and I were setting up the iMac a while ago as I returned home from the city, we were talking about the .mac accounts and the Apple Protection Plan… He told me that I didn’t have to worry about the .mac account and iWorks cause he bought a Family pack of both which contained 5 licenses!! WHOOOTT!! How I longed for iWorks!!! I am SO happy that my dad decided to do that and maybe I am happy that he decided to buy two macs since I can use the iMac for a lot of stuff… And he’s gonna pick them up tomorrow!!

As for my grandfather, we are still hoping for the best. He currently has abdominal aneurism where a main vein in his stomach is about to pop if we don’t do something about it. I heard from my dad that they are still going to see if he is still capable of the operation.. I am hoping that he will still be able to live long enough for Alex to remember him.. If not, even just until I graduate from college next year… I want him to be there… Just to see me graduate… Just to see him there looking at me as I march will be fine… I miss him so much right now… Now that I realize that he’s a bit old for his age… And that we are just trying our very best to keep him company, to make him happy…

I can’t even imagine New Year without him… He’s the one who usually makes all the noise with his drumming… Ever since I was a child, it’s been his job to do all the drumming while we run around the place picking up as much coins as we can… I can’t imagine my birthday without him… Ever since I was little, it had always been a joint birthday between us since our birthday is a day apart… We always had one party… And he used to teach me a lot of things… I sure miss all those days…

I wish, he can stay longer… I wish his heart would can still sustain the operation and still survive…

Last Saturday, May 31, 2008, the SM Mall of Asia held the Manga’Holix Anime Convnetion. It was the very first convention that I went to and actually almost spent the entire day inside the convention center. Me and onee-chan usually just stick around and look at all the stuff they have in their booths then leave if we don’t like anything. But this time around, I was with Vinno (I forced him to go so I paid for his entrance ticket.. ) Anyways…

At first, I came only with Vinno. Then inside the convention center, I met up with Mag and Lucky (high school friends). Although, around maybe an hour before that, I had already stumbled upon them in the FullyBooked booth… But I didn’t want to get their attention at first because my ex was there and I didn’t know how to react. It was the first time in how many years since we last saw each other. I’m thinking it had been around 3 years or less a few months. And to think that we were still dating the last time I saw him.

Anyways, a coincidence was, me and Mag were looking at the same table and she didn’t even notice me! Again, that was fine with me cause I didn’t know how to act in front of him at that time… We had constant meetings, Mag and the others didn’t seem to notice me… Except for Tere… Although I don’t think she still remembered me cause I wasn’t hanging out much with them during high school…

And so me and Mag (she was with Lucky at that time) finally met by the cosplay stage… That wasn’t accidental this time. I had to give her something so we really intended to meet. Then when they left to look for my ex (Robee is his name), we went on as well. We roamed around once again for like, the 3rd time? Until a sudden meeting occurred. Me and Vinno were supposed to go buying those hats (I forgot what they called ‘em.. ) which they sold for me to buy for my niece and for my pleasure during that event… And while we were on our way to the other side of the convention center,  I really had to bump into him… Well, not that I’m really pissed. It’s just that, that exact meeting wasn’t the one I had imagined it to be… I was thinking that we’d really talk… But then again, I was way too shocked to even say the word “hi” in a lively manner! I just looked at him in the eye and muttered the word “hi”, then I went on.

I was hoping for another encounter that night when we went back to the convention center and met up with Tori and Erin… Mag and Lucky passed by so I called them since they looked really tired (we were sitting by one corner that time). So, I was hoping that I’d finally have some talk with him again and end his guilt once and for all. But, the time came that we had to leave, he still didn’t show up. I was thinking that, maybe he saw me beside Mag, the reason he didn’t come… Sigh…

I left the convention center with Tori, Erin, and Vinno to watch the Pyro Olympics which we didn’t get to appreciate because of the ceiling that was blocking the sky. (Everyone was there supposed to be watching the fireworks but, it wasn’t really something to appreciate because we can’t see! )

Anyways, enough with the drama! I’ll be posting a few images here next time… I still have to grab permission from my friend who had the camera with my pics in it…

The cosplay, by the way, had less Naruto than I expected! There was more who portrayed characters from Bleach. And to my surprise, there was even one from Taiho Shichauzo (Kobayakawa Miyuki to be exact). Although I didn’t like how she was portrayed. For one thing, sure Miyuki was a cop… But, I don’t think she had hand cuffs hanging around her waist.. I think it was well hidden insider her, pockets maybe..?

Then there was this CUTE CUTE CUTE KAWAIII kid who portrayed a character from the anime Prince of Tennis… I don’t know who the character is, I just know that the kid is so KAWAII!!!! *squeals* I’ll put up a pic soon too…
