Tagged a while back

tagged-a-while-back

Tori messaged me a while back (like weeks ago) that I had been tagged. Goodie… Not.. -.- Not that I hate these types, well, I’m just not in the mood that time.. And since I am SO bored, maybe I can get it.. ^^;

? Each blogger starts with ten random facts/habits about themselves.
? Bloggers that are tagged need to write on their own blog about their ten things and post these rules.
? At the end of your blog, you need to choose 10 people to get tagged and list their breads.
? Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

Random Fact Number 1: I used to play Golf before I became a teen and before my dad stopped forcing us to take lessons
True. I think the only person in our family that didn’t undertake that lesson was my oldest sister. The rest (yes, even my mom) had to undergo that training. And somehow, now, I would like to take lessons again… I’d like to start again. I mentioned it to my dad once and he just told me, “Baka umitim ka” TRANSLATION: “You might get a ‘tan’(?)” Note, people here in the Philippines are not that white skinned as I would say… We are more of brownish in color… And some of us really have a hard time shedding out a few of that brownish skin and, let’s say, become whiter or paler in color… And the rays of the sun is not helping that, especially when playing the said sport, Golf. ^^;

Random Fact Number 2: I used to take piano and voice lessons
Before high school started for me, my mom made us take summer classes. Me and my younger sister took piano and voice lessons. And that was the first and last thing I had.

Random Fact Number 3: I started to draw when I was only in Grade 1 (I think)
Due to the influence given to me by my older sisters, I started to draw. Sadly, I had stopped, just last year on January 1, 2007. And since then, I haven’t made any serious drawings… All I did were doodles… If I would do some serious drawings, it would mean that I badly need it.

Random Fact Number 4: I wanted to become a Doctor… BEFORE!
Because my parents, grandparents (both sides), uncles and aunties are all on the line of medicine, of course a kid would be influenced to take the same profession. Sadly for me, I disliked looking a blood, I disliked the feeling of having a needle inside your skin, let alone someone you don’t know is putting it there. So I left it.

Random Fact Number 5: I love the sound of nature
I just love the sound of nature. Me and my older sister even bought a few CDs when we went to Disney World last 2002. Sadly I haven’t really gotten the time to listen to them… ^^;

Random Fact Number 6: I took swimming lessons but stopped right in the middle of the lessons
I know I wasted money on that. But the fact that they throw you to the pool and you don’t even know what to do and they don’t even try to help you even though you think that you might be drowning…? I just didn’t like that idea. So, I quit. I stopped attending the lessons. Well you can’t blame me! I didn’t want to drown! >.<

Random Fact Number 7: I have accounts on AIM, MSN, YM, ICQ before.
Yep. All 4 messaging softwares. I had accounts on all. I ditched ICQ a long time ago because I didn’t find the need for it. I was very much idle for AIM and MSN for a long time.. But I’ve been accessing it recently. My mostly used messenger software is YM.

Random Fact Number 8: I have the longest name in the family
All my 3 sisters have only 2 names inside the whole name. I have 3 having a total number of 32 characters (including spaces and my entire middle name).

Random Fact Number 9: People called me “Carolina” during Prep and Grade 1, and a few called me that during 1st and 2nd year high school
Carolina is the 2nd of my 3 names and people called me that a lot and I get pissed. Although it started to fade away during 3rd year high school and people barely called me that during 4th year. During Grade 2 through 6 people called me by my nickname. :)

Random Fact Number 10: My OJT is boring, period
I just started my OJT 3 days ago and right now, I am SERIOUSLY bored to death. No further explanation.

sad and down

sad-and-down

He’s wasting his time if you ask me. Instead of applying and getting things over with with this practicum (on the job training), he sits there, complaining most of the time… Or if not, doing moo stuff. Or if not, playing online games. The type of person who will achieve a goal, but the goal is very far away. Sad to say, I don’t like that type of person. I like a person who is motivated to achieve their goals early in life. Motivated enough to work hard for himself or herself for his family most especially their situation. I promised myself that I will try to at least change how he thinks about money and life. And that he has to SAVE money. Sadly, I failed to do that… And I can’t seem to do it. Because of him. Because of his attitude. Because of his way of thinking.

It’s my second day of on the job training… And I do find it a bit boring but fun, most especially with the people around me. They are just so welcoming and really fun to be with, especially that they joke most of the time… :)

I was hoping I could motivate him to work with his OJT as well during my first day at work since I was happy I decided to apply and work there. Unfortunately, it was only until his head… That motivation never went to his body to actually move and do something about it. He never did.

And I’m REALLY sad today, despite the fact that I should be happy. I feel really down today except for the fact that I’m really tired and sleepy. I just don’t know what to do anymore. Haven’t I tried hard enough to talk him into applying…? I’ve been pushing and pushing him to apply to jobs. Nothing happened.

Made a mistake…? I don’t know. Most of the time I think I didn’t. Although there are times I think I did. I DON’T KNOW! I don’t know anymore… :(( I don’t want to think anymore…

On the job training

on-the-job-training

I have been accepted as an OJT or assistant at a big company here. Not that I’m braging or anything cause I don’t think there’s anything to brag about… It’s just an OJT.. Besides, I have grown to like the people I talked to last Wednesday (the Marketing Manager who talked to me and my, I think, supervisor). The manager reminded me so much of my dad when he’s working in the hospital or even when we just stay there while waiting for my mom (when he’s with the nurses there that he’s close to and he jokes around with them constantly).

So, work for me starts this Monday, April 28. I report to the office at 8:30 in the morning… And finish off at 5:30 in the afternoon. Wow… I’m going to be in an office… I don’t know whether I’m excited or I’m afraid to even think that that will be what I might be doing in the future. Sometimes, it makes me think, what if I wasn’t afraid of blood, that I actually wanted to become a doctor… What would happen to me…? I sigh to that. Cause I don’t think that will happen considering that I can’t even look at my elbow when they extract blood from me. Let alone be alone when that happens… I need someone to hold on to and someone to hold me.

I cannot believe that the category “work” would be present, not until I graduate… And now, it’s there, ready to roll… :))

I totally miss onee-chan… She’s been gone for like a week and it seems like forever! Onee-chan! Come home already! I have no one to talk to here…! :((

I think I gotta go… I still have a meeting with the org tomorrow at 8 in the morning in school… I have to hitch a ride with my sister to get there… She leaves at 8 and it’s already 12:30 so, I guess I better be going… ;)

NOTE: I have added a few videos on the Portfolio page… :) Check them out.. :)

I just remembered.. I said I’d post the video we had for Japala, but I can’t seem to find it in youtube… -.- Sorry… I’ll still try to look for it as I would like to see how I went with it… ^^;

Summer Break

Posted on April 21, 2008

summer-break

Everybody’s been busy with a lot of stuff and I’m stuck somewhere in my world doing nothing… I should be at an office, doing OJT stuff! Sadly, I still don’t have a company… :((

Yes, it’s almost nearing the end of our summer break and I still don’t have an OJT to do… Some of my friends who still don’t have an OJT are planning on skipping it for this summer and taking it next summer instead… Before graduation… Sigh… I don’t know what to do anymore…

I have an interview this wednesday… Hoping that it’ll be successful… If it did, I’d have to work for 10 about 10 weeks. And that would mean that I’m still working while studying.. Sigh.. Now I’m even thinking that I’d skip it as well… :,

I haven’t been doing anything the past days… Just watching movies or maybe going out with Vinno or going back to school because of meetings with the organization I’m in… Otherwise, it’s nothing.. -.- Oh, by the way, we got the results of the officership applications last term… And I was appointed Vice President in Creative Media Development.. Which means I am the “leader” of the committee. The committee handles the publicity of any activity the organization will have, as well as requests any org or office inside the school may have for us to do. And, we handle the exhibits the org might have throughout the school year… Sigh…

We just finished talking last night about what activities we can have the entire year. Turns out, we’d only really have a few since we do handle publicity… ^^; The things we’d have to do are almost done.. What’s left for us to do now is the booth for the freshmen welcoming this May 7! :pissed: It’s so soon! And we only knew about this last Saturday… Even the President knew that she was the President just recently… So, everything is so rushed! :((

By the way, I had added a new page in the site…! It contains all the stuff I had been doing… Well, currently I can’t find all the stuff… But most of them, I think, are there already… Check ‘em out.. :)

Course Card greatness!

course-card-greatness

My worries were for nothing. I passed! O.O I got a 1.0, but I passed! XD I’m so happy! The moment Vinno texted me that I passed the darn subject, I was so shocked that I sat down quickly from my lying position (I wasn’t feeling good that morning cause my gastritis is back). I was playing Apollo Justice that time, so happens that I just woke up then… And that was the news that I found out… XD

So much for the previous entry that I typed last April 10… ^^;

So far, here is a breakdown of my grades:

  • ALGOCOM - 2.0
  • JAPALA1 - 3.0
  • INTROOS - 1.5
  • ISRESME - 3.5
  • PROBSTA - 1.0

I cannot believe my grade in JAPALA!! I perfected the first quiz, had only 2 mistakes in the second, I pass the midterms with around 65 points over a hundred… I don’t know how much I got for the finals though… That speech. -.- Great. I was really expecting at least a 3.5 there! Nearing 4! >.< (as for the video of the speech, I still haven’t found it… I’ll try to post it when I do… :) )

ALGOCOM I can handle and I know why I had that grade… I didn’t give enough effort on them as much as I did with ISRESME, INTROOS, and PROBSTA of course. Since ALGOCOM was like always an opened-notes exam, I barely studied with that! I’m luck I even passed with a 2.0! ;)

And so, the term officially ends, everybody happy… :) Well, except for those who failed PROBSTA and ISRESME… Sigh… But, with the way Vinno and Red looked a while ago, it looked like they had accepted it the moment they saw their grades… :,
